“Drunken Devil loves to celebrate the holidays,” says Matt Dorado, creator of Drunken Devil, “Our holiday Bloody Brunch is our way of getting into the spirit-- a raucous morning romp with boozy Christmas cocktails, delicious bites, burlesque, magic, and more than a little mischief.”
Bloody Brunch is a fully-realized theatrical experience, inspired by kitschy horror TV specials of the 60s and 70s, and hosted by Sharon von Shivers and Doctor Toombes, a pair of delightfully devious yet campy characters based on legends like Vampira and Vincent Price. This iteration of Bloody Brunch will feature a variety of performances, ranging from burlesque and sideshow acts, to magic, vocalists, and more, all with a holiday horror twist. Guests can imbibe on themed holiday cocktails (designed specifically for the show) and classic brunch fare like mimosas and bloody marys, enjoy breakfast, pose for photos with Krampus, and are encouraged to dress up for the occasion.
“We’ve had a great year as we experimented with producing new shows, and Bloody Brunch is one of our most successful new events to date,” Dorado expands. “We’ve seen it grow since its debut in June, and I have a feeling that our holiday show is going to be our most exciting and rambunctious one to date. Plus, who doesn’t like creepy Christmas?”
Bloody Brunch: Holiday Edition will take place at the historic El Cid on Sunday, December 15th, from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Tickets for the strictly 21+ affair start at $30 and available now at www.thedrunkendevil.com.
