CyberConnect2 will be at “Anime Expo 2019” in Los Angeles !!

Join us for a talk panel on our new game Fuga, as well as the opportunity to experience the game and more.

CyberConnect2 Co., Ltd. (HQ: Fukuoka, Japan; CEO: Hiroshi Matsuyama) will be attending “Anime Expo 2019” to be held in Los Angeles between the 4th and 7th July 2019. There we will showcase our new game, Fuga, with a talk panel as well as opportunities to experience a trial version of the game. We will also be holding some autograph sessions.

Attend our talk panels on “Fuga” and working in Japan!
We will hold two panels and autograph sessions at AX2019 with our vice president, Taichiro Miyazaki, and character modeler, Keven Ouellet, as speakers! The two panels will feature details on our new title Fuga, that is currently in development, as well as what it is like to work in Japan. We will give out a limited number of original goods at the end of each talk, and we will also hand out signed illustrations from Fuga at our autograph sessions.

is the newest addition to the Little Tail Bronx series that features games such as Tail Concerto and Solatorobo: Red the Hunter. CyberConnect2ʼs first self-published title, Fuga, is a dramatic simulation RPG with a theme of “War x Revenge x Kemono.”

Gundam 40th Beyond Booth
This year, BLUEFIN and other BANDAI NAMCO Group companies will showcase an interactive Gundam Booth. Located on the Main Show Hall, the “Gundam 40th Beyond” Booth (#2611), will be a key presence this year and will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the launch of the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. It will highlight upcoming and existing Gundam products from renowned BANDAI divisions including BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby (GUNPLA), Tamashii Nations (Action figures), Shokugan (Small toys) , Gashapon (Capsule and small toys), BANDAI Apparel and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment (Mobile game / Console game).
 
A massive 9-foot-tall RX-78-2 Gundam statue will be stationed inside the Gundam Booth for photo opportunities. Other notable attractions will include FREE giveaways of a Gundam Visor sponsored by GUNDAM.INFO and small Gundam Shokugan items, and a workshop area where Anime Expo attendees can build a FREE Gundam Plastic Model kit (GUNPLA) and try out the new Gundam Marker Airbrush.
 
GUNPLA BUILDERS WORLD CUP
Entries from the GUNPLA BUILDERS WORLD CUP (GBWC) will also be on display, with this year’s winner announcement at a separate panel on Saturday July 6th at 8:30pm (Room LP4 411) that will feature famous modeler from BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby, Katsumi “Meijin” Kawaguchi.  A prototype sample of the new 1/100 GUNDAM BARBATOS model kit will be unveiled.

VR experience brings Disney on Broadway’s biggest production numbers to the 2019 D23 Expo: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event
Anaheim, California – (June 27, 2019) - Disney on Broadway is thrilled to return to D23 Expo, in Anaheim, California, to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Join Broadway’s brightest stars as they present an exclusive concert, Disney on Broadway: A 25th Anniversary Celebration, in Hall D23 on Saturday, August 24, at 3:30 p.m.

​Hosted by Tony Award®-nominee Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast), the 75-minute concert will feature Heidi Blickenstaff (Freaky Friday, The Little Mermaid), Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, On The Record), Kissy Simmons (The Lion King), Josh Strickland (Tarzan) and Alton Fitzgerald White (The Lion King). A six-piece band, led by Jim Abbott, will accompany performers as they lead the audience through Disney on Broadway’s Tony Award-winning catalogue. The performance will feature songs from Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aida, Tarzan®, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, Newsies, Aladdin, Freaky Friday and Frozen. (Talent is subject to change)
Disney on Broadway fans can also celebrate this milestone anniversary by visiting the VR (virtual reality) theatre on the D23 Expo floor. The brand-new VR experience puts you center stage in Aladdin, Frozen and The Lion King’s biggest Broadway production numbers, featuring Broadway’s Caissie Levy (Elsa), Major Attaway (Genie), Telly Leung (Aladdin) and Tshidi Manye (Rafiki).

Heidi Blickenstaff most recently created the body-swapping role(s) of Katherine (and Ellie) in Disney’s Freaky Friday for Disney Channel and Disney Theatrical Productions (Helen Hayes and Outer Critics nominations). On Broadway, Heidi was most recently seen as Bea Bottom in the 10-time Tony-nominated Something Rotten! (Outer Critics and Grammy®  nominations). Disney on Broadway audiences might remember Heidi as Ursula from Disney’s The Little Mermaid.  Other Broadway credits include The Addams Family (Alice Beineke), The Full Monty and Tony-nominated [title of show], the original Broadway musical Heidi and her friends made about four friends making an original Broadway musical. Ashley Brown originated the title role in Mary Poppins on Broadway for which she received Outer Critics, Drama League and Drama Desk nominations for “Best Actress.” Ms. Brown also starred as Mary Poppins in the national tour of Mary Poppins where she garnered a Garland Award for “Best Performance in a Musical.” Ms. Brown’s other Broadway credits include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, as well as starring in the national tours of Jack O’Brien’s The Sound of Music and Disney's On the Record. Ms. Brown has starred in both Oklahoma! and Showboat at Chicago’s Lyric Opera and has performed with virtually all of the top orchestras in North America including the Boston Pops (twice), the New York Philharmonic, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra at Disney Hall, the Pittsburgh Symphony, the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall (five times), Fort Worth Symphony, the Cincinnati Pops and Philadelphia Orchestra (twice). Ms. Brown’s PBS special called Ashley Brown: Call Me Irresponsible received a PBS Telly Award. Other television credits include NBC’s The Sound of Music. Ms. Brown is the voice of Disneyland celebrating its 60th anniversary singing the newly penned Richard Sherman song “A Kiss Goodnight.” Ms. Brown’s album of Broadway and American Songbook standards, Speak Low, and her newly recorded Christmas EP, The Secret of Christmas, are available on Ghostlight/Warner Brothers.

Gavin Lee just finished playing Lumière in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. In New York, he most recently played the Grinch at Madison Square Garden. Before this, he originated the role of Squidward in SpongeBob SquarePants the Broadway Musical (Drama Desk Award and Tony Award nomination). Before that, he played Thenadier in the Broadway revival of Les Misérables. He originated the role of Bert in the West End and Broadway productions of Mary Poppins (Drama Desk and Theatre World Awards, Olivier and Tony Award nominations). Gavin has appeared at Carnegie Hall in Showboat and in the world premiere of Holiday Inn at Goodspeed Opera House. TV credits include Law and Order: SVU, The Good Wife and  White Collar. His favorite London theatre credits include Top Hat, Crazy for You, Peggy Sue Got Married, Me and My Girl, Over My Shoulder, Oklahoma!, Contact and Singin’ in the Rain. Gavin has performed his solo cabaret in New York, Chicago and on Disney Cruise Line.

Kissy Simmons is a native of Floral City, Florida, and graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in Speech Communications. She was also a NCAA Division 1 Track and Field athlete. Kissy grew up playing the keyboard and singing in church, and was a State Champion high jumper at Citrus High School. After graduating from the University of South Florida, she got her professional theatre debut at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts where she was seen in Little Shop of Horrors (Ronnette), Jacques Brel and other seasonal cabaret shows. Broadway credits include: The Lion King (Nala). Josh Strickland is a native of Charleston, South Carolina. In 2006, Strickland created the leading role of Tarzan in Disney’s musical Tarzan® on Broadway. In 2009, he made his starring Las Vegas debut in Peepshow at Planet Hollywood Casino & Resort while concurrently co-starring in the hit E! reality show Holly's World. Strickland debuted his first single "Report to the Floor," which skyrocketed to the top five on the iTunes Dance Charts the first week of its release, followed by “Last Dance.” In 2013, Strickland joined the cast of Vegas! The Show at the Planet Hollywood Casino & Resort in Las Vegas in a starring role. Strickland has also appeared internationally with the all-star cast of Disney’s Broadway Hits, including the Emmy -winning concert at Royal Albert Hall in London, England. Alton Fitzgerald White performed a record-breaking 4,308 performances as King Mufasa in The Lion King on Broadway. Alton recently added author and keynote speaker to his list of titles. His book, My Pride: Mastering the Challenge of Daily Performance, filled with secrets to fulfillment and joy in work and life, was recently published by Disney Editions. Universal City, CA, June 27, 2019 – Universal Studios Hollywood offers fans an exclusive first look at “Halloween Horror Nights,” inviting them to experience L.A.’s scariest and most intense Halloween event on Thursday, September 12, one day before it officially opens on Friday, September 13.

Top headlines for this first-ever “Halloween Horror Nights” Fan Preview include a chance to be among the first to explore this year’s 10 terrifying new mazes, bragging rights to be among the first to post on social media, special themed photo ops with scare-actors, DJ music performances, plus receive a special commemorative credential, in addition to possibly seeing favorite celebrities attending the event’s red carpet premiere which takes place that same evening.

A limited number of must-have tickets will be sold for the Fan Preview Night, adding to its exclusivity. Preview night tickets along with select tickets to “Halloween Horror Nights” are available for purchase here.  Advance purchase is recommended as tickets for all nights will sell out. More than 70 Spectacular Costumes Spanning 55 Years—from Mary Poppins to this Summer’s Aladdin—Will Be on Display
BURBANK, Calif. (June 4, 2019) – The Walt Disney Archives returns to D23 Expo with an all-new exhibit, “Walt Disney Archives Presents Heroes and Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume.” From the classic Mary Poppins to this year’s live-action retelling of Aladdin, more than 70 costumes from 55 years of Disney movies and television shows will be on display from August 23–25 at the Anaheim Convention Center during the biennial event, presented by D23: The Official Disney Fan Club.  
 
Guests entering the 12,000-square-foot exhibit will be greeted by “Cinderella’s Workshop,” a gallery featuring the beloved fairy-tale character’s dresses from her numerous Disney incarnations, including 1997’s Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella; the gown worn by Scarlett Johansson for Annie Leibovitz’s 2007 Disney Dream Portrait series; 2014’s Into the Woods; the 2015 live-action reimagining of the animated masterpiece Cinderella; and the ABC hit series Once Upon a Time. 
 
The main gallery will be broken into three sections: “Disney Heroes,” “Disney Villains,” and “Spaces Between,” reserved for the antiheroes whose fascinating journeys make them among Disney’s most complex characters.
 
Among the costumes included in the “Disney Heroes” section are Belle’s village dress and ballgown from 2017’s Beauty and the Beast; creations worn by the Genie, Aladdin, and Jasmine in this year’s live-action Aladdin; and—for the first time ever displayed together—three iconic Mary Poppins “traveling dresses” worn in three Poppins productions: the 1964 original film, 2019’s Mary Poppins Returns, and the Broadway musical. “Disney Villains” ensembles include the trio of wonderfully wicked witches from 1993’s Hocus Pocus, the duo of dresses worn by the stepsisters in 2015’s Cinderella, and the dress worn by the incomparable Bette Davis in 1978’s Return from Witch Mountain. And “Spaces Between” includes Maleficent’s gown from the 2014 film, as well as the Evil Queen and Hook’s costumes from Once Upon a Time.
 
The exhibit includes costumes from some of Hollywood’s preeminent designers, past and present, including Academy Award®-winners Colleen Atwood, Sandy Powell, and Tony Walton, as well as Emmy® winner Ellen Mirojnick and Emmy nominees Eduardo Castro and Penny Rose.
 
Many of the costumes on exhibit will be featured in The Art of Disney Costuming: Heroes, Villains, and Spaces Between, a dazzling new book out this September from Disney Editions. The book will also be available in advance exclusively at D23 Expo.

Universal Studios Hollywood Celebrates Independence Day with Its First-Ever July 4th Fireworks Spectacular

The Inaugural Salute to the Stars and Stripes is Included in the Price of Admission to Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal City, California, June 3, 2019 – Universal Studios Hollywood lights up the night sky with its first-ever July 4th fireworks celebration, inviting guests to enjoy a spectacular aerial display that will take place in multiple locations within the theme park.

This exciting new addition is included in the price of admission to Universal Studios Hollywood.

As the spirit of Independence Day sweeps across the theme park, guests can toast the day by enjoying the theme park’s many popular rides and attractions, before the festive pyrotechnics extravaganza, synchronized to a score of Universal-themed music and patriotic favorites, begins at 9:30pm.

In addition to the fireworks display, guests can delight in the return of “Dark Arts at Hogwarts™ Castle” as it illuminates the evening sky with nightly shows featuring lights, music and special effects within “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™.” The program runs from Saturday, June 22 to Sunday, August 11.

Sparks also will fly the moment guests step aboard the world-famous Studio Tour and take a wild ride on "Fast & Furious—Supercharged” or when they meet Stuart, Tim and Tom on “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” and join Optimus Prime on a search for the All-Spark on “Transformers™: The Ride 3-D.” From “Revenge of the Mummy—The Ride” and “The Simpsons Ride” to “King Kong 360 3D,” “The Walking Dead” attraction and “WaterWorld,” electricity is in the air.
