Inspired by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Global Blockbuster Franchise, the Mega Attraction Will Fuse 21st-Century Technology and Astounding Special Effects with New Dinosaurs from the Jurassic World Film Universal City, CA, March 22, 2019 – Universal Studios Hollywood unveils a first look of its eagerly awaited mega attraction, “Jurassic World—The Ride,” as anticipation grows for its grand opening this summer.
Leaping from the silver screen to the theme park, “Jurassic World—The Ride” will immerse guests into newly themed environments and breathe new life into dimensional animatronic dinosaurs, including some all-new fan favorites featured in the Jurassic World films from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. This ambitious ride is being reimagined under the direction of the award-winning and inspired minds at Universal Creative, the Academy Award®-winning special-effects visionaries at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), a division of Lucasfilm, Ltd., the brand stewards at Universal Pictures and acclaimed filmmakers Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow and Frank Marshall. The state-of-the-art attraction will debut an original storyline that takes place within the theme park as depicted in Jurassic World. It will feature additional new dinosaurs from the film, lush scenic design, and ground-breaking technology that has yet to be experienced within a theme park. The aesthetics of “Jurassic World—The Ride” will be dramatically enhanced, welcoming guests to a reimagined space reflective of the Jurassic World films. A fresh, new entry statement, stonework landscaping and a contemporary redesign of the iconic pillars illuminated with billowing flames will support a prominent “Jurassic World” marquee logo. Engaging queue-line videos featuring facts and information about the dinosaurs within the ride set the tone for the adventure ahead, as guests learn more about these imposing prehistoric inhabitants that first roamed the earth more than 65 million years ago. And the daring expedition begins. Once aboard specially designed rafts, guests will navigate the lush environs of dense vegetation, traversing new areas besieged with towering dinosaurs meandering just an arm’s length away from visitors. Encounters with such docile creatures as the Stegosaurus and Parasaurolophus will quickly turn awry as predatory Velociraptors and Dilophosaurus begin to wreak havoc, turning guests from spectators to prey. When the Tyrannosaurus rex begins to battle one of the attraction’s new behemoth dinosaurs, the rafts will spill down a treacherous 84-foot waterfall as the sole means of escape. Located adjacent to the ride will be a new elaborately themed “Raptor Encounter” where Blue, the most beloved and deadly Velociraptor from the Jurassic World franchise, and her beta Raptors will engage guests in daring face-to-face encounters. In addition, a new interactive “Dino Play” area will incorporate educational components within an inspired space where children of all ages can partake in excavations and investigate giant dinosaur fossils. A waking fever dream probes the darkest corners of your childhood imagination Creature puppetry, illusions, and cinematic dread. I want to live in your mouth. is currently slated to run March 28 - May 5 LOS ANGELES, CA (March 22, 2019) — What lives in the back of your closet? What stirs in the dust beneath your bed? What stares unblinking from just outside the glow of your nightlight? Maybe they’ve been here all this time. Maybe you’ve willed yourself not to see them. But no longer. The things you always imagined lurking in the dark are beyond mere fantasy. Visit someplace strange in an intricate, up-close 20-minute immersive horror tale for one guest at a time. Utilizing over three decades of combined expertise in themed entertainment, theatrical craft, and experiential design, Writer/Director David Ruzicka and Creative Producer Eric Vosmeier lead a team of technical experts, environmental storytellers, and immersive theatrical performers in a nod to classic body horror and dark fantasy films of the 80’s and 90’s. Each guest will be invited to join a troubled individual reliving a vivid looping memory of the day new visitors came calling to their childhood home. Hiding within the surreal spaces of I want to live in your mouth. are a collection of unforgettably nightmarish residents, realized by a group of world-renowned creature makers whose names must be kept secret for their safety...and for yours. Certain forces compel the creators to remain tight-lipped about what exactly lives inside — but intrigued guests won’t have to wait long for an answer. If they’re really ready for it. Writer David Ruzicka elaborates, “It’s like buying one ticket at the state fair for a midnight ride on the ghost train. I wondered what would happen when you combine the intimacy and unpredictability of a solo guest experience with the dark, seductive magic of creatures, fantasy, impossible things. So that’s the road we’re taking visitors down. We hope to reawaken the spirit of their childhood imagination and fears.” This visitation is presented in association with producer, OA Experiential, and with additional support from Hotopp Associates and Dan & Janelle Picard. (20 March 2019) - Wearable Interactive Gaming Technology leaps forward this weekend with the debut of ZTAG 2.0. Imagine bringing the thrill of a zombie chase to your attraction. Zombies chasing humans, and the threat of infection making the air hum with excitement. Imagine watching the virus jump from zombie to human, complete with sound and color. Imagine multiple game formats to challenge the zombies, complete with an updated worldwide leader board. Open your eyes- ZTAG 2.0 is here. Based on Torch Technology (A Thea Award recipient) ZTAG brings close-up guest-to-guest interaction to any attraction. ZTAG 2.0 units feature a full-color display, speaker, rechargeable battery, and armband mounting. Players can see their game stats and get live feedback when infected. ZTAG forces intimate interaction between players by using infrared which triggers at 3 feet. Close-up tagging (or ztagging) increases both the interactions between guests and the attraction’s throughput. ZTAG is venue-independent. You need only 1,500 sqft of running space to host a game for a dozen people. Play indoors or outdoors and during daytime or nighttime. Minimal equipment beyond the ZTAG system is needed to have a fun game. A basketball court with a few inflatables is all that's needed to run a game for 50 kids to play. ZTAG is contact-free. While every kid knows how to play tag, eventually someone gets hurt. ZTAG is a non-contact game that keeps tag’s excitement while reducing the safety risk. ZTAG brings kids into the real world. "As a parent, I want my kids to interact in the real world instead of with a screen. In this increasingly digital and socially isolated world, people yearn in-person interaction. I'm certain many other parents think this way too, they want their kids to play with their friends outside instead of hunching over a cellphone playing Fortnite!. Venues offering a social-physical activity will open parents' wallets. The game is much more intuitive and feels like a real-life video game!,” states Quan Gan, Serial Entrepreneur and Creator of ZTAG. The Details Test and Order ZTAG 2.0 at booth 1513 at St. Louis, Halloween & Attractions Show March 21-24, 2019. Purchase ZTAG at $100 per zTag and $200 per zStation with a $1,000 annual ZTL host subscription. ZTL subscription gives host venues product updates, licensing, leaderboard hosting and national promotion. Those who cannot attend the show can order by emailing info@ztag.com.
