DELUSION, AN INTERACTIVE HORROR THEATER SERIES, RETURNS TO LOS ANGELES THIS SEPTEMBER

Delusion will delve into an era and theme never before explored in interactive theater
POMONA, CA (August 11, 2022) - Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, the producers of world-class live events and location-based entertainment experiences, today announced the highly anticipated return of one of LA’s most popular interactive events, Delusion. Officially open to the public on Thursday, September 15th, Thirteenth Floor and Director Jon Braver will once again bring his one-of-a-kind interactive horror theater series to life in the historic Phillips Estate with a new play titled Delusion: Valley of Hollows. Delving into an era never before explored in an interactive theater, the play will explore 1970’s American cults, with a supernatural twist. 

“Nothing brings people together more than visceral, live experiences,” commented Braver. “Thirteenth Floor as a company sees beyond the simple jump scare. Delusion is far more than that. I have personally seen lives changed after a harrowing journey through our living, breathing otherworlds.. We need this now more than ever.”

Though Valley of Hollows is a stand alone sequel to 2021’s Reaper’s Remorse, Braver has made sure that returning Delusionals (as he calls them) need not have attended last year's play. “These plays inspire that campfire effect,” adds Braver. “You live in our stories, then you tell your own. There is something for everyone here.” 

Delusionals will play the role of Deprogrammers; those meant to help rescue people from the influence of cults. During the 1970’s there was an influx of cults popping around the United States such as Children of God and The Manson Family. Since the disappearance of Esther Phillips over twenty years ago, a cult known as The Hollows was born. Fanatics from around the world have come to her estate, driven by rumors of a gift beyond this life, if only they would die on her grounds. Playing upon this phenomenon, Delusion will swallow its guests into its most disturbing interactive play to date where they will uncover the truth behind The Hollows.

CARLSBAD, CA. (August 4, 2022) – Grab your costumes and get ready to “boo-gie” down! This Halloween season LEGO® Monsters are running wild at LEGOLAND® California Resort as Brick-or-Treat presents the all-new Monster Party. Every Saturday beginning September 17th through October 29th, the Park transforms into the ultimate family Halloween celebration, complete with treat stations, new LEGO® Monster characters, new family-friendly entertainment, and the premiere of the new, thrilling 4D movie: “The Great Monster Chase!”

The frighteningly-fun Monster Party begins the moment guests enter the Park with Instagrammable photo spots, LEGO Monster Character Meet & Greets, a scavenger hunt and the Monster Security Checkpoint Street Performers checking that only “real monsters” are entering the party! Treat stations themed to each spooky zone featuring an assortment of candy can be found throughout the Park, with friendly ghoulish stilt walkers passing through to say “Boo!”

Along the way, guests can collect themed pop badges and a commemorative Brick-or-Treat brick. All guests are encouraged to join the festivities in costume and get ready for a howling fun time.

All new bewitching entertainment is popping up throughout the Park, including the new 4D movie: “The Great Monster Chase!” Kids and families will be on the edge of their seats as they watch to see what happens when tweens crash a Monsters-only party. The not-so-spooky flick features exciting special effects which include wind, bubbles, water and more. The fun doesn’t stop there as guests get a chance to meet some of the film’s stars, members of the LEGO Monsters of Rock, as they roam through the Park. New characters include Monster Rocker (guitarist), Zombie Cheerleader (keyboardist), Tiger Woman (bassist) and Wolf Guy (drummer).

It wouldn’t be Brick-or-Treat without new shows and entertainment which include:
  • V.I.M. (Very Important Monster) Costume Party hosted by Lord Vampyre. Everyone is invited to compete in the thrilling costume contest and Party. Make sure you’re wearing your best monster costume and be ready to dance your skeletons off!
  • Zombie Cheer Crew, where you can witness the monsterous moves of the Zombie Cheer Leaders!
  • Operation Monster Squad, where little monsters can be recruited for the official Brick-or-Treat Monster Squad
  • The Monster Rock Off, a live concert where our favorite monsters will be rocking out and playing incredible guitar riffs!

For more electrifying excitement, the Park’s signature roller coaster, Dragon Coaster, has been transformed into the Disco Dragon Coaster, with festive new decorations, a groovy monster soundtrack and an illuminating party atmosphere.

Enjoying the fun throughout the Park is even sweeter with the special edition treats our monsters have hand-crafted exclusively for the party, including a Brick-or-Treat Monster Shake, monster-themed cookies and crepes and an exclusive Monster Party souvenir drinks cup.

Three Packed Days of Panels and Booth Activations Showcasing More Than Three Dozen Fan-Favorite Franchises, Series and Specials
August 1, 2022 - Disney General Entertainment is bringing more than 30 fan-favorite programs under one roof at this year’s D23 Expo: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event presented by Visa. Through interactive activations on the convention floor as well as shows, panels and talent appearances, fans will immerse themselves in the wonders of storytelling from some of the most iconic and culture-defining shows across every genre on television and streaming, created by content brands ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Disney Branded Television, Freeform, FX, Hulu Originals, National Geographic Content and Onyx Collective.
 
The three-day extravaganza kicks off September 9 in Anaheim, California, and includes immersive activations in the Disney General Entertainment “Journey Into Storytelling” pavilion, along with a dynamic schedule of exciting announcements, sneak peeks, engaging panels and special appearances by the stars from some of today’s most cherished shows today.
 
Through the “Journey Into Storytelling” experience on the show floor pavilion, there is a story for everyone. Fans are invited to immerse themselves in the various worlds of their favorite programming, or perhaps even discover their new favorites, with interactive experiences from “Abbott Elementary,” “American Born Chinese,” “American Horror Story,” “Cruel Summer,” “Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory,” “Fire of Love,” “Good Morning America,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Kardashians,” “Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers,” “Limitless with Chris Hemsworth,” “National Treasure: Edge of History,” “Only Murders in the Building” and “ZOMBIES 3.” There will be photo and video activations along with gamification throughout the pavilion.
 
Fans of daytime television favorites “Live with Kelly and Ryan” and “Tamron Hall” can take center stage for a photo and video moment where they will feel like they’re part of the show at these fun photo booth opportunities — located in Hall B of the D23 Expo floor. The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will also feature panels, shows and talent appearances across its five stages: Hall D23, Premiere Stage, Backlot Stage, Walt Disney Archive Stage and Hyperion Stage.
